The complete format. Share → Tala package exports one note with its handwriting, documents and annotations; Settings → Export library exports everything.

Import checks the manifest, entry paths, referenced files and SHA-256 hashes before writing anything, and never overwrites a local note unless you choose to — keep both, replace or skip.

JSON backup (legacy)

Text only: notes, folders, tags and settings, without imported documents. Import it in Merge mode (alongside existing notes) or Replace mode.
